"I completely understand the hype of this place! If you are HUNGRY, and I mean hungry you have to try this place! There is a little bit of everything: appetizers, sandwiches, daily specials, Hispanic cuisine, and meat and 3 options! I decided to get the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes with white gravy, green beans, and fried okra. We also got fried pickles with their yum yum sauce. It was ALL delicious! The chicken was seasoned perfectly and it was super juicy and tender. The green beans had either ham or bacon that put them OVER the top. The mashed potatoes and gravy were thick and comforting and the gravy was so good I am picky. The fried okra and the fried pickles were so good! They both had light breading and werent greasy at all. The yum yum tasted homemade it was tangy and was the perfect accessory to those pickles. My niece got the catfish special with fried okra, fries, coleslaw and hushpuppies. She said the fish was delicious she particularly liked the breading and said she could tell it was soaked in buttermilk because it wasn't fishy at all. I tried the hushpuppy it was stuffed with corn which gave it a nice sweetness. I tried the fries too and normally I don't like thick fries but these were very good. I also tried the coleslaw. It was mayonnaise based and really good! Our server made it. Great flavor! The service was good the atmosphere is cute. I really wanted a piece of the pumpkin cheesecake but by the time we ate we were so stuffed to the gills we both had to put food in a box. I was shocked when I saw the bill. All that food and it was only $30! If youre not looking to get full, don't come here. The portions are large! We WILL be back!"

"We went to Rojas Kitchen for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant was nearly full, evidently a popular place for the locals. We were seated right away and brought menus by our server. The menus have lots of home cooking traditional favorites. And we stuck to those for our orders. I had the chicken fried steak ,fried squash, and pinto beans. My wife had grilled pork chop, green beans, and fried squash. We had originally ordered fried okra c but they swapped it with squash when the okra ran out. The food was prepared quickly and came out hot and yummy. We finished up with a piece of homemade coconut cream pie!!!"

"Stopped here for a late lunch after a day trip to neighboring community. Very friendly staff -- helpful & attentive. The diner bills itself as a country home cooking / Mexican hybrid. The burger I had was very tasty as were the fried mushrooms. My mom had a catfish sandwich and devoured it. My wife had the massive patty melt. Free refills on the Pepsi(tm) sodas. Located on the edge of the public square downtown. Nothing fancy -- but it was clean and well kept up. The menu is pretty extensive. Looks to be popular with the locals."

"Doesn't get much better than this, a meat & three with Mexican flair. All your Southern favorites are wonderful from chicken livers, to greens, to country fried steak, to creamy mashed potatoes. Only thing sweeter than the tea are the prices, we'll be back!"
